We from OBOLA want to provide an absolute relief to the victimized creature of God in one hand and to make a Rabies free India and to maintain the equilibrium of the environment so that sustainable development may be possible which will not threat the future generation on the other hand.

OBOLA started its journey as an animal feedeing organization founded by Chandra Sekhar Dey, Sujata Dey and Swati Dey under the aegis of the charitable trust OBOLA. Gradually we have started vaccination, health treatment, animal birth control (ABC) programs. Currently we are feeding appox. 500 strays daily, providing 1000 vaccination, health care treatment , rescue injured strays and appox.300 ABC program annually.

We feed more than 500 stray dogs in Dum Dum Locality, Kolkata twice a day in 500+ separate bowls.
Every year We organise more than 50 veterinary camps in different places of Kolkata for ABC Programme to control the street dogs population and eradicate rabies.
We rescue distressed and wounded animals and place them in proper temporary shelters until cured.We provide first Aid medical facility to injured animals and shift to veterinary clinic/hospital if required.
Every year We vaccinate more than 500 stray dogs in Dum Dum Locality, Kolkata for their own immune system to protect them from causing different diseases.
We help to adopt poor homeless stray dogs to get a new family.
We conduct various awareness programs with local Municipality and other NGO Bodies etc. at least every quarter in a year to spread awareness among the common masses to be kind & passionate towards voiceless, to reduce the human-animal conflicts etc.
Our activities were covered by various print, electronic and social media viz. Ananda Bazar Patrika, Banglar Janarab, TDN Bangla, Prabaha, The Kolkata Mail.
To build and run permanent shelter house for homeless animals. To establish a veterinary hospital for poor and needy animals.
General donations are used for daily animal care, program support and proposed animal shelter & veterinary hospital project
